Halibut Fishing

We spent 3 days in Homer halibut fishing with the Hise family, and it was nothing short of amazing. We didn't even take our phones with us on the boat so we missed out on some awesome photos & footage, but it was incredible to be able to step away and enjoy what fishing in Alaska had to offer.

From rain and sun that never fully set - it's definitely a must do if you're visiting Alaska in the summer. We got to set the hook on so many different size halibut, see hundred of otters all around us, all while being surrounded by volcanoes - truly experiencing the "land of the midnight sun."

Red Drum Fishing

We think red drum are one of the most fun fish to catch! They are so feisty and definitely keep your adrenaline through the roof. We had a blast out on the inlet in Topsail Island, guided by Captain Chadwick Crawford with Southend Anglers.

It was an absolute stunning and perfect morning to be out on the water pulling in fish after fish after fish.

'til next time 🤙🏽

Fishing the Kenai

An early start to the day was well worth it to finally be able to get out on the one and only Kenai River. We ripped lips all day on steelhead, dolly varden, and rainbows guided by Travis with Fish Em, llc.

Travis is from our home state, actually from the next county over from Tiffany's childhood home, so it was awesome to spend some time with someone we had a lot in common with, especially being on the opposite end of the country.

We were totally exhausted after the travel and the day fishing, but we would 100% do it all over again in a second!

Little did Tiffany know, Shaffer proposed the very next day! 💍
